Life imprisonment to five

Daltonganj, Mar 7 (UNI) A local court today sentenced to life imprisonment five persons in a three-year old murder case in Jharkhand's Palamu district.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Vishnukant Sahay awarded life term to Joki Bhuiyan, Gopal Bhuiyan, Sanjay Bhuiyan, Jangalui Bhuiyan and Lala Bhuiyan for killing one Shashikant Tiwary at Rerma village under Daltonganj police station on February 23, 2004.

The court also awarded them rigrous imprisonment for two years.

The body of Shashikant was thrown into the Kacharwa dam.

Patna, Mar 7 (UNI) Patna High court today asked the Bihar government to probe into the alleged irregularities at Lalit Narayan Institute of Business Management, Muzaffarpur, and sumbit the report within eight weeks. NCC cadets venture on motorcycle expedition to Wagah

Bangalore, Feb 24 (UNI) NCC cadets of BHS First Grade College here will undertake a motorcycle expedition to Wagah border, covering a distance of 5,084 km, from February 26 to March 23. Munsif magistrate killed as car overturns

Churu, Feb 24 (UNI) A munsif magistrate, whose wedding was to take place next month, was killed today when the car she was travelling in overturned in Churu district.
