Kirloskar gets LoA from Power Grid

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Kirloskar Brothers Ltd today received letter of award (LoA) for supply and erection of equipment and material for construction of new 33/11 kV sub-station in Cachar district of Assam from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

The total project cost is Rs 56.32 crore, which also includes augmentation of existing sub-stations and rural electrification, a company statement said.

Kozhikode, Mar 3 (UNI) The public sector Punjab National Bank has revised interest rates on ''PNB Mahabachat'' and ''PNB Tax Saver Deposit Scheme'' with effect from March 1 this year. Govt sets up cell to monitor prices

Guntur, Mar 3 (UNI) Concerned about the price rise of essential commodities, the Andhra Pradesh government has set up a cell in Hyderabad to monitor the prices of 14 commodities, including rice cooking gas, pulses, onions, cooking oils, petrol and diesel. Andhra Pradesh civil supplies commissioner C N Rao today interacted with the civil supplies officials, rice millers and doll millers of Guntur, Prakasham, Nellore districts here. He asked them to ensure that the 14 commodities were sold in retail outlets.....

Goa envisages higher growth performance in the 11th Plan

Panaji, Mar 7 (UNI) Goa, which witnessed bouyancy in revenue collection and expenditure during the concluding 10th Five Year Plan (2002-07), hopes to witness ''much higher performance'' in the 11th Plan period beginning on April 1 this year. Puducherry, Mar 3 (UNI) A large number of devotees today thronged the Vaithikuppam Beach here to worship deities from different temples in and around Puducherry on the occasion of 'Maasai Magam.'
