Four more detained in connection with rave party

Pune, Mar 7 (UNI) Pune Rural Police today detained four more persons suspected to be involved in drug peddling, in connection with Sunday's Rave party.

''We have not arrested anybody as yet but will be asking for police custody of some persons for investigations, and only by evening, we will have more information on the matter'', police said, adding investigations were on.

On March 4, as many as 280 youngsters were arrested by the police for allegedly consuming drugs. Most of the youths were released on bail but till last night, only six were able to complete the formalities.

The remaining youngsters will be released today. Parents and relatives of those released yesterday manhandled mediapersons for trying to catch a glimpses of their wards. A case has been registered in this regard.

HC directs to investigate all complaints regarding SRA

Two farmers commits suicide west Vidarbha region

Akola, Maharashtra, Mar 7 (UNI) The incidence of farmers' suicide continues unabated as two more farmers allegedly committed suicide in the Western Vidarbha region during last 48 hours. A debt-ridden farmer of nearby village Wazegaon ended his life last night when a programme of 'Kirtan' (spiritual discourse) organised by the agriculture department under special package for the farmers in Vidarbha, was in progress. Removal of SAD on edible oils opposed

Indore, Mar 1(UNI) While welcoming focus on agriculture in the union budget, Mr Davish Jain, Chairman, Central Organisation for Oil Industry and Trade, has expressed disappointment over the proposal to remove special additional duty of 4 percent on import of edible oil. Reacting to the budget, he said it will not only hit the indigenous oilseeds industry and trade, but also de-motivate farmers from continuing cultivation of oilseeds.
