Engineer arrested in disproportionate assets case

Hyderabad, Mar 07 (UNI) Sleuths of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today conducted a raid on the houses of Executive Engineer- AP Polution Control Board and unearthed assets worth over Rs 58 lakh.

The Officials conducted the searches in the houses of P Ravindranath at Gudavalli village in Guntur district. The assets include a house and two plots in Vijayawada city, gold and household articles worth Rs 5.5 lakh, a car and bank balances, according to a press release.

The accused was arrested and the searchs were continuing. He would be produced before the Special Judge for ACB cases, Viajayawada.

Employee of PWD commits suicide

Puducherry, Mar 7 (UNI) An employee of the Public Works Department (PWD) today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence at Nettapakkam. According to police, the employee Arumugham working with the PWD office at Thatanchavady hanged himself by using his dhoti following a quarrel with his wife last evening. Air Force official arrested on bribery charges

Hyderabad, Mar 7 (UNI) Sleuths of CBI and Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today registered a case against an airforce official, who was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant. According to an official release here, the sleuths arrested B Babu Rao, Personal Assistant to Air Officer Commanding at Air Force Station, Hakimpet and recovered the tainted amount from him. The complainant was an employee of the Air Force Station against whom departmental proceedings has been initiated recently......
