Congress Corporator shot at by miscreants, escapes unhurt

Cuttack, Mar 7 (UNI) A Congress Corporator in the city escaped unhurt when some miscreants attacked him last night, police said today.

Police said the miscreants fired from a close range on Congress Corporator of Cuttack Municipality Dillip Behera while he was coming out of his office at Chandi Chhak.

The Corporator, manage to escape although the miscreants fired from their gun at close range. The bullets missed the Corporator and he sustained minor bruises police added.

The miscreants fled from the scene leaving their revolvers. The police later seized the guns and sealed all the exit points to nab the culprits.

No one has been arrested so far.

Police suspect political rivalry behind the attack.

Aizawl, Mar 7 (UNI) Chief Minister Zoramthanga destroyed 220 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor at Tuikhuahtlang here today. Munsif magistrate killed as car overturns

Churu, Feb 24 (UNI) A munsif magistrate, whose wedding was to take place next month, was killed today when the car she was travelling in overturned in Churu district.
