6 dacoits arrested

Shivpuri(MP), Mar 7 (UNI) Six persons belonging to Jatav community were arrested last night while planning to commit dacoity at Bilara village under Sirsod police station area of this district, police said.

Police cordoned of the area on a tip-off that the dacoits were planning to commit the crime at the house of Dayalu Yadav, police said.

Four motorcycles, rifle and other weapons were seized from their possession.

Three railwaymen found guilty for Champaner trains collision

Vadodara, Mar 7 (UNI) A four-member high-level committee, probing the recent collision between two goods trains at Champaner station on the Vadodara-Godhra section of the Western Railways, has found three railwaymen responsible for the mishap. According to Vadodara divisional railway manager K L Pande, the trio-- switchman M M Sumra, electric signal maintainer Parbat Mansukh and signal inspector B D Meena (all posted at Champaner station)-- had been suspended on the basis of the departmental probe. Cycle rally to mark 75th year of Bhagat Singh's martyrdom

Ahmedabad, Mar 7 (UNI) The All India Democratic Students Organisation (DSO) will organise a cycle rally on March 11 from Feroz Kotla in Delhi to Hussainiwalla in Punjab to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Seventy-five cyclists, nine of them from Gujarat, will participate in the rally and cover the 500-km distance while hosting street plays en route, Gujarat unit DSO secretary Bhavik Raja told UNI.
