5 Italians hurt in mishap

Kancheepuram, Mar 7 (UNI) Five foreigners were injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned at Vedal near here yesterday.

Police said here today the Italians were proceeding to SIPCOT Industrial Estate from their hotel in the district when the car driver applied sudden brakes and the vehicle overturned injuring the occupants.

The victims were taken to a private hospital and later taken to a hospital in Chennai where they were undergoing treatment.

Hyderabad, Mar 7 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government today decided to construct houses for middle class in cities and towns by providing bank loans to the beneficiaries. Presiding over a review meeting with the ministers and officials concerned here, Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy said independent houses would be constructed in the cities and towns where the total population was less than five lakh and flats in six cities -- Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupati and Warangal. 37 seriously hurt as bus hits water tanker

Kancheepuram, Mar 7 (UNI) A state transport corporation bus hit a water tanker seriously injuring 37 people, including 16 women, at Maraimalainagar today. According to police, the bus was proceeding to Tindivanam from Chennai when it hit the tanker lorry parked there for watering plants on the median on the Chennai-Tiruchirapalli Highway. The injured were rushed to the Chengalpet Government Hospital for treatment. A search was on for the bus driver who was absconding. UNI.....
