43 Australia education institutions to recruit students

Mumbai, Mar 7 (UNI) A group of 43 leading institutions from Australia will recruit students during their student recruitment programme in the Metropolis.

The programme is being held from March 3 to 16, at Hotel Taj Lands End, in suburban Bandra from 1030 hrs to 1700 hrs.

IDP Education supported by Australian Education International [AEI] and The Australian Trade Commission [Austrade] is organising a country wide student recruitment programme covering seven cities.

Interviews for students will be conducted on-site and on spot admission offers will be made to students. The list of participating institutions include Le Cordon Bleu, Holmesglen Institute, University of Ballarat, Bond University, Victoria University, University of Ballarat (IIBIT), University of Western Sydney, Australian School of Tourism&Hotel Management, The University of New South Wales, Melbourne Institute of Technology, South Bank Institute of TAFE, to name a few, a statement here yesterday said.

As many as 39,000 Indian student enrolled for studies in Australia last year, making India the second biggest source country for Australia.

With Indian student enrollments growing at over 35 per cent per annum, Australian Institutions offer advantages for Indian students that include excellence in education, internationally recognised qualifications, flexible education delivery, value for money, renowned lifestyle, multi cultural environment, travel and work opportunities in Australia.

Alongside the student recruitment programme, The Australian Trade Commission and Australian Education International are organising Education Seminars on ''Education Opportunities in Biotechnology and Business Administration'' on Friday between 1100 hours to 12 hours and 1500 hours to 1600 hours on Business Administration at the venue here.

These seminars aim to offer prospective students, an overview of the Biotechnology and Business Administration and training opportunities in Australia and career pathways, the statement added.
