Teleradiology signs MoU with National Healthcare Group, Singapore

Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Teleradiology Solutions, a leading provider of teleradiology services in India, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Healthcare Group (NHG), Singapore, for setting up a joint venture in that city-State.

Addressing newspersons on the occasion, Teleradiology Chief Executive Officer Dr Arjun Kalyanpur said the strategic alliance, the first of its kind, was aimed at using the strengths of both organisations to offer high quality radiology reads to Asia and the rest of the world. NHG had under its umbrella nine polyclinics, four hospitals, a national centre and three speciality institutes.

''The JV, I am confident, will leverage the expertise of both organisations to provide the highest quality of telemedicine to hospitals not just in Asia, but cross the globe. Further, this partnership is strategic for India as it will establish the country as a leading international destination for telemedicine,'' he added.

Teleradiologoy Solutions Director Dr Sunita Maheshwari, who was also present, said the JV would be on a 50:50 basis and to begin with, 100,000 Dollar might be invested equally in the new entity called Teleradio-Singapore.

Dr Kalyanpur said his company, which began with just two radiologists, had 120 now catering to the needs of hospitals in the United States, Singapore and India. With this joint venture, hospitals in the UK and Asian countries would also be covered.

He said steps were being taken to produce low cost teleradiology technology to meet the rural requirements.

NHG CEO Dr Lim Suet Wun said ''his company always set benchmarks in providing sound healthcare services, while Teleradiology has demonstrated excellence in providing high quality teleradiology services globally.
