Night curfew extended in Poonch

Poonch, Mar 6 (UNI) Night curfew imposed in the bordering Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir has been extended for a period of two months from February 26, 2007, an official statement said.

The timings of night curfew in town and rural areas of Poonch has been rescheduled as per the District Magistrate's order, an official release last night said.

There will be no public movement from 1930 hours to 0600 hours in rural areas and from 2130 hours to 0500 hours in Poonch town.

The night curfews are imposed in the sensitive areas of the state to check the militancy-related activities.

Srinagar, Mar 6 (UNI) The construction work on the mega convocation complex, taken up 25 years ago, on the University of Kashmir Campus at Naseem Bagh, has almost been completed.
