National hospitality summit on March 7

Visakhapatnam, Mar 6 (UNI) The Indo-American Hotel Management Academy (IAHMA) will host 'Atithi Utsav-07', the first National Hospitality Summit for hotel management students, at the IAHMA campus in Nakapalli town here tomorrow.

According to Indo-American group's Chairman V Pujari, the event will serve as a platform for students to exhibit their talent and exchange valuable information about the hospitality industry.

More than 175 hotel management institutions would attend the three day event.

He said, ''In the present era, hotel management was not just management but a skill with a huge scope for creativity''.

Hotel management had moved from a standrad method of functioning to an unconventional mode with emphasis on design, creativity and value addition, which would differentiate the best from the better, he added.

Students would be exposed to various realistic scenarios during the Utsav, he said.

Counting in ZP, PS polls begin; complete result by midnight

Three nominations for Palamu by-poll cancelled

Daltonganj, Mar 10 (UNI) Nominations of three candidates filed for the March 29 by-election to the Palamu Parliamentary seat were cancelled today. District Electoral Officer Nagendra Prasad Singh here said the nominations of Lalan Bhuiyan(Samta Party), Parasnath Manjhi of Manav Mukti Morcha and Brahmdeo Ram(Independent) were cancelled. Mr Singh said the nomination of Samta Party candidate was cancelled as he mentioned it as a national party. While in the case of the other two the names of the proposers were not.....

Counting for byelections in Nagaland begins

Kohima, Mar 12 (UNI) Counting of votes for the byelections to Dimapur-I and Tuensang Sadar-II Assembly seats began at 0800 hours this morning. Polling took place on March eight. According to Election Office sources, counting of votes for both Assembly constituencies began at their respective district headquarters. In Dimapur-I Assembly seat, altogether five candidates were in the fray, while in Tuensang Sadar-II Assembly constituency, four candidates tried their luck.
