Gemini Communication secures Rs 75cr order from TNEB

New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) Gemini Communication, a networking company, today bagged a Rs 75 crore order from Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) for computerisation of its 1,725 collection centres across the state which directly cater to 15 million consumers. With this project, TNEB will be able to interlink all their collection centres to a centralised server system thus offering efficient and online customer services at their centres.

''This order represents the largest wireless networking solution ever implemented in India. The entire networking design was conceived in-house and was accepted as the most cost effective and innovative solution proposed by any vendor,'' the company said.

The entire project is slated to be completed within four months.

Ashok Leyland Feb sales up 33 pc

New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) Bus and truck maker Ashok Leyland Ltd today posted a 33 per cent rise in its February sales at 8,036 units, up from 6,038 units a year ago.
