French woman commits suicide in South Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) A 40-year-old French woman, married to an Indian, committed suicide in her South Delhi home here today.

Police said Anna Fatalgo, widowed almost a year ago, was found dead in her East Nizamuddin house at about 1700 hrs.

She had consumed some poisonous substance in the afternoon as she was depressed after her husband's death, it added.

Police found a suicide note which said she was taking the extreme step under depression.

Further investigations are in progress.

Absconding rape convict arrested

Kota, Mar 6 (UNI) A rape convict, who escaped from the central prison here in November last, has been arrested by the police in Jhalawar district. No change in personal income tax rates

However, every assessee has been given a relief of Rs 1,000 by raising the threshold limit of exemption by Rs 10,000.
