Eros International films to be broadcast globally on Sony

Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI) Eros International, announced that it has signed an exclusive deal for a package of its films to be broadcast on Sony Entertainment Television, one of India's leading entertainment channels.

The deal comprises a slate of released films including recent films like 'Salaam-E-Ishq' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' as well as some upcoming releases like 'Namastey London'. Sony will enjoy exclusive global satellite broadcasting rights to the original version of these titles for a period of five years, a statement issued here said yesterday.

Eros has an extensive film library of over 1,300 titles and over the last three decades, has built a successful business model involving 25-30 new releases every year, distributed across all formats as well as exploitation of the catalogue through syndication and license deals to television networks and platforms around the globe.

MP Assy lauds INSAT-4B succcess

Bhopal, Mar 12 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Assembly today congratulated the scientists of of the Indian Space Research Organisation for placing India's fourth-generation communication satellite INSAT-4B in geosynchronous transfer orbit by an Ariane-5 launcher that blasted off from the European Spaceport of Kourou in French Guyana. 'Cyanide' to be screened at MAMI
