Agumbe records the lowest minimum temperature of 9.7 degree celsius

Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours today.

Dry weather prevailed over the State.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.7 degree celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures fell at many places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Agumbe recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 09.7 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Dry weather may prevail over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Dry weather may prevail over all the districts of the State.

Local forecast for Bangalore city: Mainly clear skies. Maximum and Minimum temperature would be around 32 degree celsius and 19 degree celsius respectively.

Indian slashes fares to Bangkok

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 15 (UNI) 'Indian' has introduced low fares to Bangkok from Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode to Bangkok and slashed the fares to Rs 5,800 (Excluding Taxes) per person under a special promotional scheme. K'taka Govt releases Rs 494 cr for drought, flood relief works

Bangalore, Mar 7 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has released Rs 494 crore since July last year to take up both drought and flood relief works, Home Minister M P Prakash said today. Speaking to newspersons after holding a high-level Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting on the drought situation here, he said the Sub-Committee had reviewed the prevailing drinking water problem and measures taken to combat it. Mysore, Mar 7 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has decided to take up 'Survana Nagara Yojane' on the lines of the 'Survana Grama Yojane' soon, Municipal Administration Minister Alangur Srinivas said today.
