Youth stabbed to death over love affair

Mirzapur, Mar 5 (UNI) A youth was murdered by two armed miscreants over an old love affair in this district of Uttar Pradesh.

Lal Babu, 25 -- son of Mannu Lal -- was having an affair with a girl in Bhatwapokhri locality.

Late last night, Lal Babu was brutally killed in Rambagh locality, when he was out for Holi celebration.

Meanwhile, accused Waseem and Imtiyaz have been held and interrogation was on, police said.

The body has been sent for autopsy.

Monica case: Special court reserves ruling

Bhopal, Mar 5 (UNI) A special court today reserved until March 7 its ruling on a review petition, by the defence, urging conversion of the witnesses into accused in a fake passports case wherein underworld don Abu Salem and his starlet-girlfriend Monica Bedi stand accused. Earlier, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Raveendra Singh dismissed the plea. The review petition was submitted before Special Judge A K Shrivastav who heard completion of arguments today. The criminal case will be heard in the CJM's.....

Father-in-law hacked to death

Idukki, Kerala, Mar 5(UNI) A 40-year-old tribal was hacked to death, allegedly by his son-in-law, in a tribal settlement colony, about 35-km from Adimali in the district today. According to police, the victim was identified as Ganeshan. The accused, Rajan, was the husband of victim's second daughter. Earlier, Rajan had deserted his wife. However, he was agitated over her second marriage and this was said to be the reason behind crime. UNI.....

Youth found murdered

Puducherry, Mar 5 (UNI) A 20-year-old youth was found murdered at Pakkamudayanpet near here this evening. According to police, the unidentified man's head was found smashed with a stone. Police have registered a case and are investigating. Meanwhile, police recovered the body of a 40-year-old man floating in the Murugambakkam river. There was no mark of external injury on the highly decomposed body and it was not immediately known whether it was a case of accident or murder, police sources said......
