Usha International launches "Usha Hunter" fan

Chennai, Mar 5 (UNI) Usha International Limited, a leading consumer durable marketing company, today launched two-in-one "Usha Hunter" fans, a first of its kind in the country to give chill effect during summer and provide warm during winter.

The state-of-the-art technology fans with reversible motors, when operated during summer, functions in normal direction and create a "wind chill" effect and when operated in the reverse direction, during winter, they re-circulate warm air trapped at the ceiling.

Announcing the launching of 25 new range of fans for this year at a press conference here, Sunil K Wadhwa, General Manager, said the company has come out with Hunter fans model after strengthening its tie-up with US based Hunter Fan Company. This would be positioned in the Super premimum category and priced between Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000.

He said Mr Michael Foley, one of the leading designers for lifestyle products, has designed the new models, with a revolutionary design concept under the "lifestyle segment".

Mr Wadhwa also announced a new branding strategy - "Usha, it's a better life". This would be the common branding baseline across all Usha range of products, he added.

He said the company had made a turnover of Rs 540 crore last year and this year in ten months, it has already registered an increase of 25 per cent over last year. South contribute the maximum of 35 per cent of the total revenue, he added.

Airtel, SBI join hands to provide money transfer

Granules India to set up JV in China

Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI) Chinese Government today gave an official permission to Granules India to set up a joint venture with Hubei Biocause Heilen Pharmaceutical Company Ltd of China. Informing the BSE, the company said it had, on October 12, 2006, signed a MoU with Biocause of China.
