Summer knocks Delhi doors, temperature shows rising trend

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) An early morning chill preceeded a cosy sunny day with the mercury showing a rising trend for the fourth consecutive day in the Capital.

With a mainly clear sky predicted for the next 24 hrs, Delhi seems all set for the arrival of summer as the maximum temperature rose another degree from yesterday's 26 to 27.3 degree today and even the minimum rising to 14.2 degree Celsius from the previous day's 13.1.

Though a bright sun shone the whole day, the morning was relatively cool with cold wind blowing and winter making its presence felt.

No rainfall was reported from any part of the city today, in consonance with the weatherman's prediction of ''dry and sunny weather conditions''.

The maximum temperature would be around 28 degree Celsius and minimum around 14 degrees, in the next 24 hrs, according to the MET department.

While maximum relative humidity would be 78, the minimum would be 23, it added.
