Jaiswal, Sahai visit Jharkhand

Ranchi/Jamshedpur, Mar 5 (UNI) Union Ministers Sriprakash Jaiswal and Subodh Kant Sahai today arrived in Jamshedpur and paid tribute to slain JMM general secretary and MP Sunil Mahto.

Mahto and three others were gunned down by Naxalites in the state yesterday.

On arrival, the ministers went to the Tata main hospital where the bodies had been kept.

In his brief interaction with reporters, Mr Jaiswal, Union Minister of State for Home, condemned the killing. He said the Centre would not sit idle after seeing anti-social elements unleashing a reign of terror.

Earlier, Chief Minister Madhu Koda visited the hospital and consoled the slain leader's family members.

Three members of a family shot dead

Bhabhua, Feb 21 (UNI) Three members of a family were shot dead by unidentified criminals at Baghini village under Mohania police staion in Kaimur district today. District police superintendent Rajesh Kumar said the criminals fired indiscrimately when Daroga Singh alongwith his wife and son was processing the paddy in a field. All the victims died on the spot. New Delhi, Feb 21 (UNI) The Supreme Court will hear, on February 23, a petition filed by ETV owner Ramoji Rao challenging the two Andhra Pradesh Government Orders directing a probe into the affairs of his chit funds company Margdarshi Financiers.
