Gold falls, Silver declines

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Gold fell one month low and silver declined today in the closing session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Rupee resumes softer at 44.35/37 per USD

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) The rupee today opened lower at 44.35/37 per US Dollar against 44.29/30 on the previous day's closing on lack of fresh dollar demand from local opeators. Later it fluctuated between 44.35 and 44.49 per USD on some short-covering and scattered dollar demand by foreing banks. Gold falls one month low

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Both the precious metals registered a downward trend, with Gold declining to a month's low, sliding by Rs 35 per ten gm, and Silver fell by Rs 245 per kg on weak global advices today on the Bombay Bullion Exchange. NMCE extends session to offset 'sun outage'

Ahmedabad, Mar 5 (UNI) With 'sun outage' likely to affect online trading and clearing from March 5 to 19, National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) extended the trading session by 45 minutes from today till March 19. Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) The Interbank call money market today closed 18-months low at 5.00-5.25 per cent compared to 6.00-6.10 per cent on the previous day on heavy selling pressure by local opeators in view of surplus funds, brokers said. Call money fell to 18-month low at 5.00-5.25 per cent on Monday and bond yields rose after the central bank limited the amount of cash it would soak up in daily market operations and said it would issue market stabilisation.....
