Bangalore, Mar 5 (UNI) Dockers San Franscisco, the leading global brand of casual wear from jean maker Levi Strauss and Co, will spread its retail chain in top 30 cities in the country, company Asia-Pacific President Alan Hed said today.
Making the announcement at the inauguration of the brand outlet here, which had been repositioned as Dockers San Franscisco from the earlier Dockers, he said the company was pursuing aggressive retail push. ''Dockers jeans would be out in May and women's line early next year. We are targetting women as they know well how their husband or boy friends should look like,'' he added.
Introduced in 1986 to fill the void between jeans and dress pants, the Dockers brand had expanded from a line of men's khakis to an ensemble brand, featuring complete collections of casual pants with complementing tops and accessories for men and women. Adopting a new positioning of Dockers San Franscisco, the US-based company offered consumers a complete lifestyle, offering the two brands under one roof world over. It had about 50 such outlets worldwide.
