BSF jawan killed in accident

Agartala, Mar 5 (UNI) A BSF head constable was killed and five other security personnel were injured when a vehicle carrying them overturned in Tripura's Dhalai district yesterday, police today said.

The vehicle moving from Raishyabari overturned and caught fire near Dyke no 9 killing head constable Joybir Singh (37) on the spot and injuring five others including an Inspector and driver of the four-wheeler.

The injured were admitted to Udaipur Hospital.

Annual Plan at Rs 9,000 crore, Montek pats Delhi CM

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) The Annual Plan for Delhi was today given a hefty hike of more than 70 per cent for the year 2007-08, with the plan size being fixed at Rs 9,000 crore. Last year Delhi's Annual Plan was of the size of Rs 5,200 crore. The Plan was fixed at a meeting at Yojna Bhavan between Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. BBMB signs LoI with World Bank for sale of CERs

Chandigarh, Mar 5 (UNI) Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), a leading hydro power generation and transmission organisation of the country has signed a Letter of Intent with World Bank for the sale of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs).
