BJD leader and nine others injured in clash

Berhampur, Mar 5 (UNI) Ten peoples, including Biju Janata Dal(BJD) leader and Chairman of Polsara NAC Prafulla Kumar Pradhan, were injured in a clash between the BJD and Congress supporters at Polsara in Ganjam district yesterday police said today.

According to the police, two seriously injured people, including the Polsara NAC Chairman and one Sanjaya Mohapatra, were shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here.

Senior police officials visited the troubled site and took all precautionary steps to avoid any further untoward incidents.

No arrests had been made so far in connection with the incident.

This happens to be the third political clash between BJD-Congress during last 20 days in Ganjam district.

Hooch kills two in Bengal

Barrackpore, Mar 5 (UNI) At least two people have died and four fell seriously ill after they consumed country liquor in the past 72 hours at Subhas Nagar in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, police said today.
