Myanmarese found dead in ship's cabin

Chennai, Mar 4 (UNI) A Myanmarese national on board an Indonesian vessel M T Spring Glory, which docked at the Chennai harbour yesterday, was found dead in his cabin.

The crewman, Harwin Myind (37), working as an electric engineer, had died due to a heart attack, when the ship was 18 nautical miles away from the Port, according to doctors on board the ship.

The ship came to Chennai from Singapore after loading Palm oil there.

The body was sent to Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem.

Police arrest two TNLA activists, seize countrymade bombs

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Mar 4 (UNI) Police today arrested two activists of Tamil Nadu Liberation Army (TNLA) here and seized from them countrymade bombs. While Ganesan (45) was arrested from Edatheruvai near Thittakkudi, Palanimurugan (30) was held from Medirupa village near Panrutti, police said. According to police, Palanimurugan used to make crude bombs and distribute the explosives through Ganesan. Youth beaten to death, tension in Yadgir

Gulbarga, Mar 4 (UNI) Tension prevailed in Yadgir Town in Gulbarga district of Karnataka following the death of a youth, after he was allegedly beaten up by a group of people belonging to a particular community last night. Police said that the group were collecting contributions from traders for Holi festival. When the youth refused to give money the group started beating him. The youth after reaching home, collapsed and when he was taken to Hospital the doctors declared him dead......
