Minor raped and killed in Bihar

Munger, Mar 4 (UNI) A minor girl was killed after being raped at Lal Kothi under Kotwali police station here today.

Deputy Police Superintendent Imtiaz Ahmad Khan said that the criminals picked up the girl when she was playing holi with her friends near her residence in Lal Kothi locality. Later the girl was raped and subsequently killed.

Mr Khan said raids were being carried out to nab the criminals while the body was sent for autopsy.

Meanwhile, local residents pelted stones at Kotwali police station to vent their anger over the incident.

Patrolling had been intensified to avert any untoward incident in the area, he added.

Tirupati, Feb 23 (UNI) One person was killed on the spot and two others were seriously injured in a road accident last night. Police said the accident occured when their bike collided head-on with an Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation bus near TTD's Padmavathi Kalyana Mandapam here. SHO wounded by criminal

Chhatarpur, MP, Mar 4 (UNI) A Station House Officer was admitted to the district hospital here after sustaining a gunshot wound to the shoulder from a criminal's country-made weapon at this district's Digpura village today, the police said. Maharajpur SHO Malkhan Singh went to the village to arrest absconding murderer Ajaypal Singh. The bullet was extracted and the officer stated to be out of danger. Bhopal, Mar 4 (UNI) A man was gunned down this afternoon in the local Jahangirabad area this afternoon, the police said. The deceased identified as Dileep, who was declared dead after being rushed to Hamidia Hospital. An additional police force has been stationed in the locality.
