ICI India completes sale of equity holding in Quest International

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) ICI India Ltd has sold its 100 per cent equity shareholding in Quest International India Ltd to Givaudari (India) Pvt Ltd for a sum of Rs 320 crore, which it announced in November last.

The company also received an interim dividend of about Rs 31 crore prior to the said sale of shares, a statement said here on Friday.

It expects to receive a further consideration of about Rs 35 crore for various agreed adjustments in the next quarter, it added.

ICI India manufactures and markets paints, speciality chemicals, adhesives and starch. The company through its joint venture also manufactures and markets fragrances and flavours.

Companies announce interim dividend to save additional DDT

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Most domestic corporates have decided to shell out dividends for the current fiscal (2006-07) in the garb of interim dividend on or before March 31, in an attempt to save on the additional dividend distribution tax (DDT) which will come into effect from April 1 as announced in the Union Budget 2007-08 recently. RCOM to spend USD 2.5 bn to expand its base

Mumbai, Mar 5 (UNI) Reliance Communications (RComm) is likely to spend USD 2.5 billion in next financial year (2008) on its capex cover by adding 20,000 BTS (base terminal stations). The covering push is likely to preside in the highest share of net adds for the company. Given that RComm has lost the bid, the risk associated with a possible expensive aquisition of Hutch-Essar has disappeared and that the company had underperformed Bharti by 24 per cent from January.....

Mynmarese business delegation visits Mizoram

Aizawl, March 5 (UNI) A 31-member business delegation from Myanmar reached Mizoram today to interact with business people and officials for furthering Indo-Myanmar trade. Official sources said that the delegation is visiting the northeast region to explore business possibilites in tea, textile and agro-based products. They have already visited Asom and Manipur. According to the 1994 trade agreement between Myanmar and Mizoram, only 22 items were being traded between two countries from Mizoram. ''The team led by Myanmer's border trade deputy.....
