Huge quantity of Arms, ammunition recovered in Doda

Jammu, Mar 4 (UNI) Security forces today unearthed a hideout of Harkat-Ul-Mujahideen (HUM) militants at Gandoh in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.

During a search operation in Sole Top area of Gandoh, security forces recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), six IED batteries, two Chinese grenades, an AK rifle, a 12 bore gun, a gas gun, 174 AK rounds, 70 rounds of SLR, two AK magazines, a SLR magazine, one LMG magazine, two binoculars, 12 blankets, a polythene cover and a pouch.

Besides, a large quantity of ration, including 50 kg flour, 100 kg rice, 10 kg rajmash, 10 kg sugar, 10 kg sugi, 40 ltrs kerosene oil, 10 kg ghee and biscuits was also recovered from the hideout.

All the items, except arms and ammunition, were destroyed on the spot, police said.

Time not ripe for demilitralisation in J

Srinagar, Mar 4 (UNI) Dismissing reports about an immediate demilitralisation of Jammu and Kashmir in the near future, Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said that time was not ripe for such a move.'' Addressing a public meeting at Uri, about 100 km from here in north Kashmir yesterday, Mr Azad said once peace was visible on the ground in the state, withdrawal of troops will automatically follow. 3 arrested in obscene MMS case, journos, policemen under scanner

Dehradun, Mar 16 (UNI) Uttarakhand Police today arrested three persons in connection with the circulation of an obscene MMS of a woman that evoked public uproar in Srinagar in Pauri district on March 11. Pauri Superintendent of Police A P Anshuman told reporters that Rahul Bhatt has been arrested for allegedly blackmailing the woman. He said Ankit and Gulfam Ahmed were arrested and booked under Section 294 of IPC and IT Act. All the three are in the 20-25.....

Holi celebrated in Kashmir, BSF, CRPF and other joing the festival
