Boy killed, body hung

Jabalpur, Mar 4 (UNI) A 11-year-old boy was murdered and his body hung from a tree in this district's Kankarkheda village, the police said.

Kankarkheda-resident Latti Barman yesterday alerted the police that his relative's son Rakesh alias Chhotu was hanging in Ramnath Patel's farm.

Police rushed to the spot and removed the corpse, which was sent for post mortem.

Bhopal, Mar 4 (UNI) A man was gunned down at the local Bank Colony this afternoon. Dileep Yadav was shot dead with a 12 bore licensed gun. Prime accused Devendra Tomar and his accomplice were arrested this evening and the weapon seized. The motive is unclear. The two private security guards apparently had a dispute,'' said Superintendent of Police Anant Kumar Singh. UNI.....

K'taka govt releases Rs 164 cr for Suvarna Gramodaya scheme

Bangalore, Feb 23 (UNI) The Karnataka government has released Rs 164.70 crore for the ambitious Suvarna Gramodaya scheme, under which over 1,000 villages in 26 districts would be developed, Karnataka Panchayati Raj Minister C M Udasi said today. Chennai, Feb 23 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today said legal and technical experts were finalising the clauses to be included in the state's review petition to be filed before the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal (CWDT).
