Weathermen predicts pleasant Holi in Rajasthan

Jaipur, March 3 (UNI) Holi is likely to be pleasant tomorrow with the weather office predicting a dry spell over the next 24 hours.

According to the meteorological office, the western disturbance has headed towards northern Pakistan. However, the temperature fluctuations continued in the state and is accompanied by cold winds which made the weather pleasant and comfortable.

The state capital continued to be cold.

The temperatures have been dipping over the past two days here, mapping 10.1 degree Celsius today.

Many places witnessed a fall in temperatures. Udaipur recorded 8.2, Pilani 9, Dabok 9.4, Ganganagar 10.9, Churu 11.3, Ajmer, Barmer 13.5, Kota 14.2, Jaisalmer 14.3, Jodhpur 15 and Bikaner 15.7.

Inter-state antique gun theft gang busted in Rajasthan

Jaipur, Mar 14(UNI) Police have busted an interstate gang involved in antique gun stealing with the arrest of six people. District Superintendent of police Rajavendra Suhasa said the police have recovered antique guns worth 60 lakh which were stolen from the royal palace of Jhalawar a month ago. The arrested gang members confessed to the police that they have stolen guns from over dozen gun houses of erstwhile royalties spread over the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttar.....

HPBSE to hike textbook prices from next session

Dharamshala, Mar 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBSE) has decided to hike the prices of its textbooks by 10 per cent for all classes from the next academic session, its chairman B R Rahi said. The main reason for increasing the prices of the textbooks is to cover up for its financial losses that were being incurred at an annual rate of 32 per cent, he told UNI here. Daler Mehndi case adjourned to April 17

Patiala, Mar 14 (UNI) Noted Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi today appeared in a local court, which is trying a case of ''human trafficking'' registered against him. The court adjourned the case to April 17.
