Precious metals decline sharply

Mumbai, Mar 3 (UNI) Spot Silver and Gold declined sharply today in the opening session, traders at the Bombay Bullion association said. Sugar prices up on fresh demand

Mumbai, Mar 3 (UNI) Sugar prices edged up on fresh demand, Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association traders said today. Sugar in small and medium grade rose by Rs 10 each per quintal on better buying support. Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades rose by Rs 15 and Rs five per quintal, respectively, because of higher advice. Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,460/1,500, Medium grade: Rs 1,485/1,565, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,460/1,470, Medium grade: Rs 1,480/1,490......

Silver, gold declines sharply

Mumbai, Mar 3 (UNI) Precious metals declined sharply today as Silver fell by Rs 620 per kg and Gold by Rs 235 per ten gm on lack of fresh demand on the Bombay Bullion Exchange. Silver fineness opened downwards at Rs 19,080 per kg on lack of fresh demand. Later, it recovered and closed at Rs 19,330 per kg with a massive loss of Rs 620 from its yesterday's close. In London, the silver also eased to 12.50/12.86 per troy.....
