Hazaribagh, Mar 3 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said the long-awaited policy on rehabilitation of the displaced will be announced within two months.
In an earlier statement on the issue, Mr Koda had hinted that the rehabilitation policy would be announced in January this year but despite mounting pressure from the Opposition and the displaced people, the government was yet to come up with any solutions.
Addressing a gathering at Barkagaon in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh, Mr Koda said the government has been taking measures to create market for the agricultural produces in the state.
Referring to power supply, he said efforts were on to electrify 29,000 villages soon. Besides, initiatives had been taken to open four units of Patratu Thermal Power Station while process was on to instal a 4000 MW power plant at Tilleiya Dam in collaboration with NTPC.
