Pakistani Maritime Security Agency arrest 12 Indian fishermen

Karachi, Mar 3 (UNI) Pakistan's Maritime Security Agency (MSA) has arrested 12 Indian nationals on board five boats for illegally fishing into the country's territorial waters.

''The MSA ship Nusrat was on its routine patrolling in the southern maritime region, when it saw these boats busy in catching fish illegally at 33 nautical miles within the Pakistan's exclusive economic zone (EEZ),'' said a statement issued by the agency in the port city of Karachi.

The statement said that all the Indian nationals were arrested and handed over to the Docks Police.

Indian and Pakistani fishermen are routinely arrested for straying into territorial waters of each other's countries while fishing.

IDC formulates projects for NRIs

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 13 (UNI) The Kerala Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has formulated small and medium projects for Non Resident Indians (NRI) interested in investing in the state, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the Assembly today. He said project proposals were prepared to help the NRIs to invest in agriculture, health and food processing sectors.
