MP's labourers migrating to Rajasthan

Shajapur, MP, Mar 3 (UNI) Labourers from about 50 villages in this district are migrating to neighbouring Rajasthan in search of work.

More than 1,000 labourers migrated to Jhalawar over the past ten days.

''Labourers migrate to Rajasthan every February to work on the wheat and gram crop besides road-laying in Jaipur, Kota and Bundi.

They return by Diwali,'' said the District Panchayat's Chief Executive Officer Arjun Singh Dabar.

Official sources said that every village panchayat in this district is provided Rs 15,000-20,000 annually for an employment scheme.

Agro-experts warn wheat farmers to beware of Karnal Bunt

Ludhiana, Mar 1 (UNI) The Punjab Agricultural University here has stressed that it was very important that good quality fungicides be sprayed at the seed crop of wheat at heading stage. The experts of the PAU, in an advisory to the farmers, have recommended spraying of pesticides like Tilt in a proportion of 200 ml in 160 ltr water per acre to save it from diseases at the nascent stage.
