Modi greets people on occasion of Holi

Ahmedabad, Mar 3 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Holi-Dhuleti, the festival of colours and spring.

In his message to the people of Gujarat, Mr Modi said the festival, through its rituals and festivities, captures the joyous mood and enthusiasm.

It draws people out to peace and encourages them to share their love and affection with each other, Mr Modi added.

Surendranagar, Mar 3 (UNI) The police today seized Indian made Foreign Liquor (1MFL) and Beer worth about rs two lakh in Surendranagar city and a woman was arrested in this connection. Anand, Mar 3 (UNI) The four-day ''Phaguni Poonam mela'', held at the Ranchhod Mandir at Dakor in Kheda district, concluded peacefully today. Kheda District Collector R R Varsani said the event, which commenced from February 28, passed off peacefully, with over 15 lakh pilgrims taking 'darshan' of the deity during the period. 31-year-old committs suicide over dowry harassment

Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI) Fed-up of constant physical and mental harassment by her husband and in-laws for dowry, a 31-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her home in Vile Parle in western suburbs.
