Governor, CM felicitate people on Holi

Shimla, Mar 3 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Governor V S Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today felicitated people of the state on the eve of Holi festival.

The Governor, in its message, said that Holi, the festival of colours has its own significance and identity.

The festival would strengthen the bonds of friendship and fraternity and would go a long way in promoting brotherhood among the people, he said.

In his message, the Chief Minister said Holi was perhaps one of the most unique and vibrant festival that taught mutual cooperation, friendship and national unity.

It should be celebrated with same spirit and religious fervour, he added.

Assocham opposes duty cut on whisky, spirits

New Delhi, Mar 7 (UNI) Industry chamber Assocham today strongly opposed the demand of European Union (EU) for reduction of additional custom duties on whisky and spirits, until level playing fields is provided between Indian and foreign liquor producers. Marketing strategy contest for TN college students

Chennai, Mar 3 (UNI) The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and Kaybase, a leading corporte research firm, held a contest for college students in the city to devise a unique marketing strategy for 'Fun and Focus', the online children's magazine run by Kaybase. Kozhikode, Mar 3 (UNI) The public sector Punjab National Bank has revised interest rates on ''PNB Mahabachat'' and ''PNB Tax Saver Deposit Scheme'' with effect from March 1 this year.
