First Class Additional District Judge Arun Kumar in Jamatara yesterday ordered that the jailed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president could be taken to the state capital.

The Dumka authorities who were awating a final nod from the medical team monitoring his health in jail, received the order last night, official sources today said, adding, formalities had been completed to shift him.

According to sources close to Soren, the incarcerated leader was most likely to be sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, 350 km from Dumka, after Holi celebrations.

The JMM chief could not be produced in a local court on February 26 for the fourth consecutive time on health grounds, with doctors recommending him to RIMS for undergoing angio-cardiography.

The jailed leader was asked to appear in a Jamatara court in connection with the three-decade-old Chirudih massacre in which 11 people were killed.
