TRS forces adjournment of Assembly for the day

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) The Telangana Rashtra Samiathi(TRS) today forced adjournment of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for the day without transacting any business.

The TRS members were demanding the implementation of a six-point formula in the appointment of Additional Public Prosecutors(APPs).

Earlier, the TRS members forced adjournment of the House twice.

When the House met after the second adjournment, the TRS members rushed to the well of the House, climbed the steps leading to the Speaker's chair and raised slogans.

Speaker K R Suresh Reddy appealed to them that the issue could be discussed in another form in the House. But the TRS members kept on shouting slogans, disrupting the business of the assembly.

The Speaker then adjourned the House for the day.

Apart from questions, the House was to take up some issues under rules 74 and 304.

Before adjourning the House, the Speaker announced that all the questions listed for the day were deemed to have been answered.

Today, being non-official day, the resolutions given notice of by the opposition parties also could not be taken up.
