Subex raises $ 180 mln via FCCBs

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Software company Subex Azure Ltd today said it has raised 180 million dollars through Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs) to fund the acquisition of Syndesis Ltd.

The consideration for the proposed acquisition is 165.4 million dollars.

''This capital raising exercise of the convertible bonds, to be listed at the London Stock Exchange, represents an important milestone for Subex Azure,'' Subex Founder Chairman, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Subash Menon said.

Syndesis Ltd is a leading global provider of telecom OSS (Operational Support Software) solutions.

India's young labour force to give it an edge over others: Felman

Sugar prices up on fresh demand

Mumbai, Mar 3 (UNI) Sugar prices edged up on fresh demand, Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association traders said today. Sugar in small and medium grade rose by Rs 10 each per quintal on better buying support. Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades rose by Rs 15 and Rs five per quintal, respectively, because of higher advice. Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,460/1,500, Medium grade: Rs 1,485/1,565, Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,460/1,470, Medium grade: Rs 1,480/1,490......
