Shekhawat greets countrymen on Holi

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today greeted the people on the occasion of Holi, the festival of colours and spring.

In a message, the Vice-President said the festival through its rituals and festivities, captures the joyous moods at the advent of spring and was celebrated across the country with gaiety and enthusiasm.

''This unique festival draws people out to share their joy with each other, transcending narrow barriers and strengthening social harmony and community bonding,'' he said.

Mr Shekhawat said, ''In the true spirit of this festival, let us take care of the poor and the deprived and fill their lives with colours of happiness, by uniting us all in a common brotherhood of humanity.'' UNI

MUC CCE for boosting Indo-Canadian acedemic relations

Jeweller duo arrested for duping Dubai jeweller

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Police have arrested two persons fr duping a Dubai based jeweller to the tune of Rs 3.5 crore. Kewal Garg (40), a director with 'M/s Cornich Jewellery Ltd. Dubai, and Gautam Verma (29) were arrested after its owner complained of having been duped of gold worth Rs 3.5 crore, police said today. The gold had been given to Garg in Dubai for converting it into jewellery at his workshop in the duty free zone at Noida.....

HC restrains EC from alloting Janata Party symbol to any candidate

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today restrained the Election Commission (EC) from allotting 'Chakra Haldhar' symbol of Janata Party to any candidate in the Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
