Sena corporator shot dead

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) A newly-elected Shiv Sena Corporator Kamalakar Jamsandekar was shot dead by three unidentified persons at Asalfa Village, in Ghatkopar in North-east Mumbai today.

Police sources said here that at around 1530 hours when 43-year old Jamsandekar was watching television at home three unidentified persons barged into his house and fired three rounds at him and fled.

He was rushed to the nearby Rajawadi Hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead, police said.

His wife had gone out to bring his children from school.

Jamsandekar was earlier elected as an Independent candidate from Saki Naka area in 2002.

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) Film producer Gaurang Doshi today denied all charges levelled against him by a struggling actress Flora Saini in a complaint filed with Versova Police Station last month. Surat, Mar 2 (UNI) An Assistant Police Commissioner (ACP) of Surat City Police committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver at his residence situated in Ghod Dhod road here today, Umra police sources said.
