Reliance retail adds four more stores

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) Reliance retail today added another four stores at Old Alwal, Hydernagar, Saidabad and Dilsukhnagar, taking the tally to 25 in the city and total of 35 stores in the state.

Reliance Fresh, the first of the formats from Reliance retail carrying fresh fruits and vegetables, staples, top-up grocery, dairy and frozen products, will offer limited general merchandise and non-food offerings at competitive prices, said Chief Executive of customers operations of state K S Venugopal.

In a statement, he said, "we are extremely happy to reach the first milestone of 25 stores in a very short time providing fresh produce with best of the quality at affordable prices. We will continue to deliver unmatched affordability, maintain quality and choice of products and services to the consumer, and help us finetune our offerings by listening to the consumers and learning from them".

IT sector needs support from Govt: Official

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) The Indian Information Technology sector, which has created a niche for itself outdoing China in the global market requires all support from government, including continuation of the Sunset clause of 10-year tax holiday, an official said. IT sector requires 4 lakh professionals

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) The IT sector required four lakh IT professionals every year, but only 20 per cent of the more than two lakh, engineers who passed out, were employable, according to the Computer Society of India (CSI). BSNL targets 2.5 lakh mobile connections in K' taka by month-end

Bangalore, Mar 2 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd's (BSNL) Karnataka circle has set a target of providing 2.5 lakh mobile connections by March this year, BSNL Bangalore Telecom District Principal General Manager S Ramalingam said today. Addressing a press conference here, he said the PSU had invested over Rs 300 crore during 2006-07 to expand its capabilities, including setting up Base Transmission Stations across the state. BSNL Karnataka had set up over 1,400 such stations to improve its mobile services.....
