Ratlam horror: Bones in DNA lab

Sagar, MP, Mar 2 (UNI) Human bones, recently found on a mission hospital premises at Ratlam district headquarters, have been conveyed to the DNA laboratory here for analysis.

''The foetus bones were received on Wednesday from Bhopal's Medico-Legal Institute. Sex determination will be possible through analysis,'' the lab's Joint Director Mehmood Ali said today.

More than 600 bones were found and preliminary investigation suspected that they belonged to foetuses or infants.

Obscene CD features deputy collector

Hoshangabad, MP, Mar 2 (UNI) A police inquiry is underway into an obscene compact disc (CD) that allegedly featured a deputy collector, posted at the Collectorate here, sexually harassing a woman. ''The probe will bring out the facts of the case,'' said District Collector Faiz Ahmad Kidwai. The Madhya Pradesh Women's Commission has directed the district administration to submit a report within a week. UNI.....

Jaunpur, Feb 23 (UNI) Holding ulema (clerics) responsible for the ''poor'' condition of Muslims, prominent Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawwad said the community has fallen prey to misunderstandings among the ulemas. Woman killed by tigress

Umaria, MP, Feb 23 (UNI) A woman has been killed in an attack by a tigress in the Bandhavgarh National Park in this district, park sources said today. Lunia Bai, 45 and four other women had gone to the Tala range in the park yesterday afternoon to collect wood when they were attacked by the tigress. Lunia died on the spot. Tension prevails at Kundgol town

Hubli, Mar 2 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time at Kundgol town in Dharwad district of Karnataka after two groups belonging to different communities clashed over a petty matter, last night. The timely arrival of police on the scene averted possible violence. The trouble started during a procession of 'Darga Urs' when some people beat up a person.
