Rain or snow likely at Himachal Pradesh

Pune, Mar 2 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Haryana, Punjab, south Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Punjab, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and of Tamil Nadu and were above normal in some parts of Chattisgarh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and of Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, north Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region and were below normal in some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and south Madhya Maharashtra.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Cold wave conditions prevailed at isolated parts in Uttaranchal and of Himachal Pradesh.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of south Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana and interior Karnataka and in remaining parts of Uttaranchal and were below normal in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Gujarat and coastal Karnataka.

They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Orissa and were above normal in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Madhya Pradesh, north Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of coastal karnataka.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Fire Broke out in National Chemical Laboratory Pune

Pune, Mar 2 (UNI) Two fire brigade personnel were injured while dousing the fire that broke out in the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) here this morning. Fire brigade Divisional Officer Prashant Ranpise told UNI that the fire, which started at 1046 hrs, was brought under total control within an hour as 4 fire fighters and 3 fire vehicles were pressed into service. The NCL laboratory, where the fire broke out, was completely damaged, however no loss of life has been.....

Mob attacks polling booth in Thane

Thane, Mar 11 (UNI) The otherwise peaceful elections to the zilla parishad and panchayat samiti in this district were marred when a mob attacked officials at a polling booth in Sonave village of Palghar taluka at the fag end of polling today. Following the incident, additional police force has been rushed to the village from the district headquarters, the police said.
