Bhuj, Mar 2 (UNI) The Youth Services and Cultural Activities department of Government of Gujarat will hold an open boat sailing competition in Kutch on March 11.
The competitors will have to cover a distance of 20 nautical miles from Mandvi port to Mudhra port, in the event lasting between four and five hours, depending on the wind speed, sources said.
Each competitor, will however, have to bring his own boat and set sails.
The first, second and third prize winners will get Rs 5,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively apart from Rs 4,500, which is being given to all the participants as a means of encouragement, sources added.
