Nominations papers not filed

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) No nominations have been filed by the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the election of 31 members to the legislative Council today.

According to an official release here, the Returning Officer said no nominations were filed for Council elections scheduled for March 17.

Chandigarh, Mar 6 (UNI) Chandigarh Tourism will participate in the International Tourism Bourse (ITB) which begins at Berlin tomorrow. India is a partner country in this largest annual International Tourism fair, which will be held from March 7-11. Mr Vivek Atray, Tourism Director, would represent Chandigarh Tourism at the fair. Hyderabad, Mar 3 (UNI) No nominations have been filed by the candidates for the election to Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council today. According to an official release here, the Returning Officer said no nominations were filed for the election of 31-members to the Legislative Council. Bhopal, Mar 6 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to waive the remaining sentences of certain categories of female prisoners on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, official sources said. Those sentenced to life terms after December 18, 1978, those who have served 14 years and those who have served half their terms until March 8, 2007 would be freed. However, the Jail Department would not grant the concession to offenders investigated under the Delhi Police Establishment.....
