CR trains delayed by 45 minutes due to technical snag

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) Three lines of suburban local trains of the Central Railway (CR) were disrupted for about 45 minutes between Kurla and Mulund due to a technical snag today, a railway spokesperson said.

CR spokesperson A K Singh said three routes of local trains were disrputed from 0645 hrs to 0730 hrs between Kurla and Mulund due to signal failure. Both Down lines and one Up line was affected during this period, he said.

However, long distance trains have not been affected, he added.

IT dept inspects accounts of prominent businessmen in Surat

Surat, Mar 2 (UNI) The Income Tax (IT) department is turning its heat on tax dodgers and has begun inspecting the accounts of professionals from sectors like diamond, textiles, jewellery, real estate groups to search for tax irregularities, sources today said. Rajkot, Mar 2 (UNI) Officials from forest and fisheries department here rescued and released a 35 feet long whale shark weighing about six tonne, that got entangled in a fishing net off Veraval coast in Junagadh district, into the Arabian Sea. The whale shark was entangled in the nets of fisherman Laljibhai Dhanjibhai on Wednesday while fishing in the sea off Veraval coast, sources said. Two sisters drown in rivulet in Porbandar dist

Rajkot, Mar 2 (UNI) Two sisters drowned in a rivulet at Revadra village in Kutiyana Taluka of Porbandar district where they had gone to bathe and wash clothes. The deceased - Taruben Jadav (12) and her sister Gita (9) - got trapped in the deep waters of the rivulet while bathing yesterday, sources said.
