Connect launches 'SPARK 299', call rates cheaper with more talkti

Chandigarh, Mar 2 (UNI) Keeping pace with the trend of growing frequency of calls to mobile phones from the fixed lines, Connect has introduced a special plan 'SPARK 299' to give benefit to the customers.

Under this plan, customers will have to pay a monthly rental of Rs 299 with a talktime of Rs 250, thus making the effective rental to just Rs 49 per month.

Call charges to mobile phones now would be Rs 1.20 per pulse of 180 seconds instead of 60 sec, normally available under standard plans, a company statement said here today.

Connect started its basic telephony service in Punjab in October 2000 and today operates CDMA mobile, broadband internet and fixed line services in Punjab.

Qintegra Q3 revenue leapfrogs

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) Quintegra Solutions Ltd, a leading provider of software solutions and services, has earned a revenue of Rs 17.33 crore in the third quarter of 2006-07, registering a 104 per cent increase over the corresponding quarter last year. A company release here said the quarterly net profit rose to Rs 1.81 crore, up 91 per cent from corresponding quarter last year and the revenue stood at Rs 17.33 crore as against Rs 8.50 crore for the corresponding period.....

DBS Chola unveils hedge equity fund

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) DBS Chola MF today announced the launch of its open-ended DBS Chola Hedged Equity Fund. The investment objective of the fund was to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity, equity-related and derivative instruments, a release here said. The fund seeks to minimise risk by using hedging tools such as index and stock derivative instruments. The aim was to generate returns with lower volatility. The new fund offer was open for subscription from March.....

IT sector needs support from Govt: Official

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) The Indian Information Technology sector, which has created a niche for itself outdoing China in the global market requires all support from government, including continuation of the Sunset clause of 10-year tax holiday, an official said. Income Tax Chief Commissioner P P Jauhari told a meeting here this evening organised by the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry on the Union Budget, that the ''IT sector will be left with little surplus for expansion.....
