Surat, Mar 2 (UNI) An array of Chinese waterguns (pichkaris) and colours have found their ways into markets here ahead of the festival of colours on Saturday.
China-made water pistols in the shapes of fishes, bikes, cars, glares, spiderman and machine-guns are a huge favourite among revelers, say shopkeepers, who expect the sales of about Rs one crore during Holi.
And what with the prices of these water-pistols starting from Rs 10 onwards till Rs 350, people are making a beeline to shops to buy them.
Vendors say the Chinese products are really conquering the markets during Indian festivals.
''During Diwali, markets were bursting with Chinese crackers while Utran festival saw Chinese kites flying off shops,'' a shopkeeper said. ''I am sure these Chinese waterguns will steal the show during Holi,'' he added.
