Applabs named EMC Centera Certification Partner

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) IT Testing company AppLabs today announced that EMC Corporation has selected it as its testing provider for the EMC Centera Proven Certification Programme.

''EMC selected AppLabs for its extensive certification expertise and its commitment to achieving, following and maintaining the industries' highest level of process,'' the Company said in a release here.

DBS Chola unveils hedge equity fund

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) DBS Chola MF today announced the launch of its open-ended DBS Chola Hedged Equity Fund. The investment objective of the fund was to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity, equity-related and derivative instruments, a release here said. The fund seeks to minimise risk by using hedging tools such as index and stock derivative instruments. The aim was to generate returns with lower volatility. The new fund offer was open for subscription from March.....

IT sector needs support from Govt: Official

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) The Indian Information Technology sector, which has created a niche for itself outdoing China in the global market requires all support from government, including continuation of the Sunset clause of 10-year tax holiday, an official said. IT sector requires 4 lakh professionals

Chennai, Mar 2 (UNI) The IT sector required four lakh IT professionals every year, but only 20 per cent of the more than two lakh, engineers who passed out, were employable, according to the Computer Society of India (CSI).
