Tata Motors vehicle sales at 53,707, up by 19 per cent

Kolkata, Mar 01 (UNI) Tata Motors, a leading automobile company in India, has reported a total sales of 53,707 vehicles (including exports) in February 2007, a growth of 19 per cent over 45,113 in the corresponding period last year.

A company release today said cumulative sales for the company at 5,16,599 and was also growing by 30 per cent.

The sales of commercial vehicles during last month in the domestic market was 27,859, an increase of 22 per cent over 22,885 vehicles sold.

The release also said M&HCV sales stood at 16,306, a growth of 19 per cent over February 2006, while LCV sales were 11,553, a growth of 25 per cent over February 2006.

Cumulative sales of commercial vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal were 2,68,453, an increase of 43 per cent over last year.

Cumulative M&HCV sales stood at 1, 55,708, an increase of 40 per cent over last year, while LCV sales for the fiscal were 1,12,745, an increase of 48 per cent over last year.

The passenger vehicle business reported total sales of 21,322 vehicles in the domestic market in February 2007, an increase of 19 per cent over February 2006.

The company's sales from exports were 4,526 vehicles in February 2007 as compared to 4,257 vehicles in February 2006, an increase of six per cent.

The cumulative sales from exports in the current period at 47,013 nos. have recorded a seven per cent growth over the corresponding figures for the previous period.

TVS sales up 10 pc at 1,20,110 units

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) TVS Motors today said its February two-wheeler sales rose by 10 per cent to 1,20,110 units from 1,08,923 units during the same period last year. The motorcycle sales stood at 70,155 units compared to 66,391 units in February 2006, registering a growth of six per cent while sales of scooterettes rose 24 per cent to 19,937 units from 16,052 units. The company's exports too increased 33 per cent to 8,017 vehicles in February 2007......

Airtel reduces rental on Blackberry to Rs 249/month

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Bharti Airtel today slashed the fixed monthly rental for BlackBerry to Rs 249 per month from Rs 1,099 per month. As per the new plan, Airtel BlackBerry users will be charged Rs 0.15 per Kb of usage, apart from the fixed monthly rental. The company has also brought down the price of BlackBerry 7100 g handset to Rs 10,999. As BlackBerry utilises a high level of data compression the average monthly bill is expected to.....

Hero Honda Feb sales up 12 pc

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) Country's largest motorcycle maker Hero Honda Motors Ltd has posted a 12 per cent increase in its February sales at 2,80,515 units, as against 2,50,695 units sold during the corresponding period last year. In the month of January, Hero Honda's sales grew by over 19 per cent against the industry growth of 11 per cent. UNI.....
